Volkswagen Vento launched in India
Volkswagen has launched a premium sedan christened Vento in India. Vento is built on the Polo hatchback platform. The car will be availabe for purchase only by September-October this year. Though the specifications of Vento has been released, the company is mum on the price details. We expect it to be priced between Rs 7-9 lakh.
Vento seam to give a strong competition to market leader Honda City. Since City has only petrol motor, Vento with its diesel oil burner has an advantage to take away the competition.
2015 Pagani V8 “cheap” Supercar
The company intends to release a new Pagani supercar that will receive the engine V8. Thus, the automaker will be able to reduce vehicle weight, which is now a priority for Pagani, said the Dutch portal autotelegraaf.nl.
Eight-cylinder engine for new items to borrow from tuning-studio AMG, which cooperates with Pagani 1999. V12 engines of the same production set for the current model of Zonda.
Novelty is not only easier and less “probes” of their dimensions, but much cheaper. According to preliminary data, it cost $ 500 thousand euros, while the prices of the now produced a model Zonda is 1,2 million euros. Total Pagani intends to release 400-500 of such machines.
A car with a V8 engine will be no earlier than 2015. Until then, Italian company intends to concentrate on the series starts and sales of the new model, tentatively called C9, which will replace the “Probes”. According to preliminary data, Zonda C9 receive twelve-petrol engine with six-liter company AMG. The motor will develop 700 horsepower, and its maximum torque of 1000 Nm make. It is expected that the car will be available by the end of 2010.

What do you get when you mix the drifting skills of Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the shenanigans of skateboarding legend Rob Dyrdek? Why, a skateboarding car, of course. The two pair paired up for the season premiere of season three of MTV’s “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory”, the obvious connection being the shared sponsorship of Monster Energy Drink. Using a 2011 Mustang GT gussied up in Vaughn’s drift car livery, the duo fitted a grind plate to the bottom of the car and attacked the quarter pipes and rails custom-built by California Skateparks just for the occasion.
The video of both Vaughn and Rob driving the skateboard Mustang can be seen when the show airs on MTV on Monday, July 12th at 9:30 pm ET/PT, but you can get a preview of Vaughn attempting a board slide in the video after the jump.

There are few things auto dealerships hate more than inventory that sticks around forever, and in June a few hybrid cars were either on the list of Cars.com’s “Loser’s List”, or close to it.
Hyundai Posts Third Consecutive Losses For Its Home Market
It seems every time you read a story about Hyundai these days, it includes something about the brand’s tremendous growth. Unfortunately for Hyundai, positive sales figures aren’t a reality everywhere – like in its home-market of South Korea.
While worldwide sales in the month of June rose 4.6 percent to 312,388 vehicles, in Korea the number dropped 1.2 percent from the previous month to 48,643 units. And while a one-month blip might not be reason to panic, June actually marks the third consecutive month of losses for Hyundai as domestic sales have dropped to a 10 month low.
Reasons for the decline include competition from newly looming foreign automakers like Toyota and Honda. Taking a substantially larger chunk out of Hyundai’s potential sales, however, is its sister-company Kia. While Hyundai’s sales slumped, Kia’s exploded with sales of 178,391 vehicles in June, marking a 49 percent increase for first-half sales in 2010. The recently released K5 mid-size sedan (Optima/Magentis elsewhere) topped the mid-size sales, dethroning the reigning champion Hyundai Sonata and marking the first time ever of such an accomplishment for Kia.
Korean market experts suggest the real issue is a lack of new product from Hyundai. However, with the upcoming arrivals of the redesigned Accent (Verna) and Elantra (Avante), as well as the highly anticipated Veloster, Hyundai is showing itself to the world that it is not ready to concede to its rivals just yet.
