New Video Details 2013 Audi R8 and Its Turn Indicator in Action
July 27, 2012 at 3:13pm by Sam Schembari

The 2013 Audi R8 isn’t much different from the R8s that have been produced for the past five years, but that didn’t stop the Ingolstadt manufacturer from launching a video on its YouTube channel showing the ’13 iteration in action. One thing that is different is the car’s sequential LED turn indicators—see them in action after the jump.
The new turn indicators aren’t the only new feature on the new R8—although they’re our favorite new cosmetic feature. The front fascia and grille are slightly modified and the headlights have been upgraded to full LED. We also get a brief glimpse of the interior, which looks identical to the 2012 model’s. Even the 2013’s new S tronic automatic transmission looks to retain the same gear selector as the outgoing R tronic’s.
Seeing as how you already can watch us pit the R8 against a number of challengers, we suggest you watch this video for the blinker.
2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 5: What Do You Want To Know?
Although we try very hard to put cars through a variety of tests on a variety of roads when we carry out our first drive reports, it’s not always possible to gauge what day-to-day life would really be like for real-life owners.
1980 BMW M1 with 2,200 miles up for sale in Texas

One of the most rare and exclusive cars ever made by BMW has popped up for sale in Texas. A 1980 BMW M1 is sitting in pristine condition at Texas-based car dealer Motoreum, who just acquired the car with very low miles.
How low you ask? 2,200 miles. It seems like the owner barely ever enjoyed the car to the fullest.
The dealer hasn’t said how much it is asking for the 1980 M1, but did say that more photos are to come by the end of the week.
The 1980 M1 was powered by 1 3.5 liter straight 6-cylinder making 274-hp and was mated to a 5-speed manual. Top speed came in at 162 mph.
GM’s New Adam – 2012 Paris Auto Show

GM’s European brands, Opel and Vauxhall, are hoping to spoil the Minis and Fiat 500’s party with its new Adam three-door hatch that will be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show in September.
According the GM’s European design boss, Mark Adams, customers will have the choice of over one million trim combinations: “No other car in this segment can be individualized as much as Adam because we are offering virtually unlimited exterior/interior color, fabric and kit combination choices. It’s very unlikely that you’ll find two identical Adams out there.”

The Adam – only related to Mark because he led the design team – incorporates a ‘floating’ roof which is visually disconnected from the body (like the Audi A1), making the use of the two-tone color schemes more impactful. It also features design cues found in other products in GM’s European range such as the line around the door handle (GTC), the wing-shaped chrome grille bar (new Astra) and the blade shape in the lower doors. It will also be the first car in its class to have the option of LED daytime running lights.

Hyundai Australia hits one million sales
Hyundai has sold its one millionth Australian new vehicle at a Western Australian dealership, 26 years after the same Perth-based dealership sold Hyundai’s very first Australian new car.
The Hyundai ix35, from John Hughes in Perth, marked the one million milestone following the Korean brand hitting 500,000 new car sales eight years ago.
“We’re delighted that that the millionth new Hyundai was sold in the same city where it all began back in 1986,” said Hyundai marketing director Oliver Mann.
Hyundai’s Australian sales peaked in 2011 with a record 87,008 units sold, making up 8.6 per cent of market share. With sales up 5.4 per cent so far this year, its on track for another record year in 2012.
That percentage market share was matched in last month’s June sales figures with 9672 vehicles sold, enough to see it finish the month in third position overall behind Holden (10,632) and Toyota (21,649).

2013 Lexus LS images hit the web two days before official debut

Following a leak of two images earlier this week, Lexus gave in and officially showed off the first image of its new 2013 LS flagship sedan. Well, now a whole batch of images of the 2013 Lexus LS 460 and the new LS 460 F Sport have hit the internet via ClubLexus. The only thing really hidden from us now is the interior.
For the 2013 model year, Lexus revamped the exterior design with the brand’s new signature spindle grille, new headlamps, new taillights, a new hood and much more. Overall, the design of the 2013 Lexus LS is more aggressive than we’ve ever seen before. Honestly, in my opinion the outgoing model was just plain dull and boring.
The 2013 Lexus LS will make its official debut on July 31. Sales will start later this year.
