Watch an F1 Car Hit 190 MPH in the Lincoln Tunnel, Sing ‘Star Spangled Banner’

As a bridge-and-tunnel New Jersey resident, I’ve driven the Lincoln Tunnel to and from New York City countless times, but never alongside a Formula One car. Racer David Coulthard, who finished second in the Formula One world championship in 2001, drove his RB7 through a deserted Lincoln tunnel from New York City to New Jersey hitting a tunnel-record speed of 190 mph.
Coulthard will drive in the 2013 Grand Prix of America, which is set to take place in New Jersey. There are doubts about whether the track will be ready for the event, but, in an act of Red Bull’s enthusiasm, Coulthard drove the car onto the pavement of the in-progress circuit becoming the first driver to lay rubber at the race site.
Earlier, Coulthard perched the RB7 before the sunset at Liberty State Park in New Jersey, and had the team program the high-revving engine to play the national anthem. Newest Rendering: 2015 BMW M4
Based on the most recent spy photos, rendering artist Gerald Alvarez / JAdesigns75 updates his design impressions of the future BMW M4. Due out in late 2014, the F82 M4 Coupe is based on the new 4 Series Coupe and it will differentiate itself from the 3 Series family through a sleeker front apron and slightly redesigned headlights.
The rendering shows a front bumper that showcases design cues from the recently launched M6 with the 1M-like air curtains. The air vents are large in size with angled fins that give the car not only a road-focused look, but also a dominating stance.
The M4 Coupe will also get a hood bulge, for both aesthetic and aerodynamic reasons.
The powerplant found under the hood is rumored to be a newly developed 3.2 liter unit, still inline-six, which has its fundamentals in the current M3 engine, the S65 V8. The engine is rated at 450 hp and with a new performance package it could reach 480 horsepower and a top speed of 300 km/h.

Peugeot 208 Already Bagged 7,500 Orders In UK
Since Peugeot opened the order books for the new 208 in the United Kingdom in late June, they have secured over 7,500 orders. Part of the new car’s popularity is because it comes from a great family. The 205, 206 and 207 were all magnificent hatchbacks. Well, the 207 let the side down a bit, but the ones before that were remarkable cars. Peugeot 208 is also popular because it is very stylish for a car starting at £9,995.
In UK the car is available in three and five door body styles, with ten engine options including new three cylinder versions, all of which achieve very low CO2 emissions and high economy performance. There are also five trim levels to choose from including Access, Access+, Active, Allure and Feline.
With September deliveries Peugeot is also offering incentives like Just Add Fuel scheme, available to new car buyers from 21 years of age, with three years’ fixed price insurance, servicing, warranty, road tax and roadside assistance. There are also great finance deals available. For instance, Peugeot 208 Active with 62.8mpg and £0 Road Tax in the first year can be had from £189 per month.

Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG: first look at red-hot baby CLS
The Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG has been spied undergoing testing in Europe, giving us our first look at the most extreme sports version of the German manufacturer’s all-new compact four-door ‘coupe’.
With the standard CLA not due to go on sale in Europe until the beginning of next year, Australian customers will have to wait until late 2013 at the earliest to get behind the wheel of the new baby CLS.
The flagship Mercedes CLA45 AMG will follow a few months down the track sometime in 2014.
Merc previewed the design of the all-new CLA at the 2012 Beijing motor show in April when it unveiled the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe, which blends the front-end styling of the new A-Class hatchback with the sleek four-door layout of the larger, luxury CLS.
The CLA will ride on Mercedes’ new MFA platform, which underpins the A-Class and B-Class, and will also find its way underneath a new compact SUV – potentially called the BLK or GLC – in 2014.
