2013 Lexus Hybrids: A Complete Guide
As part of the Toyota empire, Lexus was one of the first carmakers to realize the potential of hybrids, and the company now has a wide range of hybrids, competing in several market classes.
We’ve written about all of these vehicles here on GreenCarReports, so we’ve compiled information on each vehicle for a handy guide to the Lexus hybrid range.

2012 Lexus CT 200h
43 City, 40 Highway, 42 Combined
The CT 200h is the smallest Lexus hybrid, and the first dedicated hybrid in the Lexus range. To the untrained eye it looks like any other Lexus, but beneath the skin is running gear from the all-conquering Toyota Prius, so efficiency is built-in. For buyers, it offers many of the benefits of the Prius, but with a dash of extra prestige.
2013 Lexus ES 300h
40 City, 39 Highway, 40 Combined
Replacing the lackluster HS 250h, the ES 300h is a much more polished affair. Taking design cues from the aggressive GS 450h on the inside and out, the ES 300h actually shares the Toyota Camry Hybrid’s innards–a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder, paired with an electric motor–giving it efficiency not far off the smaller CT 200h.
