Avenger 626x417 Dodge Avenger Gets Pentastar V 6 in SE Trim

Although the future is uncertain for the Avenger, that hasn’t stopped Dodge from sticking the  Pentastar V-six into one more trim level of its mid-size sedan. This engine was previously  offered only in the SXT Plus and R/T trim ranges, but will now be obtainable in SE trim.

Prior to now, if you wished the three.six-liter Pentastar V-6 in an Avenger,  you’d be staring at the $ 24,845 sticker that accompanies the SXT Plus. For $ 22,345, you get the SE V-6 with the identical V-six identified in the SXT Plus, but with no the 6.5-inch touch-display infotainment program and a number of other bells and whistles. Really significantly a bang-for-your-buck type offering.

The SE V-six delivers substantial efficiency above the SE with the 2.4-liter four-cylinder with no a meaningful fuel-efficiency penalty. Horsepower increases from 173 hp to 283 hp on the V-6 whilst mileage dips from an EPA estimated twenty mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway to 19/29.

The updated Avenger will have a hard process when it goes up against the newly redesigned Ford Fusion, the Chevy Malibu with two new engine possibilities, and the yet-to-be released, redesigned Nissan Altima. Challenging crowd.
