Jaguar XF gets turbo four-cylinder engine and AWD for 2013
The 240-hp, turbocharged 2.0L four that’s found in the Evoque will also be fitted to the XF, providing a lower-priced and more efficient version of the sedan. A supercharged 3.0L V6, good for 340 horses, will also find its way under the XF’s bonnet.
Every XF will also receive a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission, and on certain versions, a start/stop system will help achieve even greater fuel economy.
And, just like the 2013 XJ, the XF will benefit from available all-wheel drive, which will strengthen the car’s appeal in Canada. The system is rear-wheel biased, but will send torque to the front wheels for extra traction as needed.
The 2013 Jaguar XF should soon be available in Jaguar/Land Rover dealerships.
