Mazda FC RX7: Project FC
Ryan Deguzman has to be the only person we have done two features on in less than two months! We featured his jaw dropping 1993 Mazda FD RX7 in July and now he’s back again with another RX7, but this time with his recently completed 1987 Mazda FC.
I shot Ryan’s FC with a group of my friend’s cars as a part of a promotion for the Motion Auto Show in SoCal that was held last month. Ryan had been wanting some legit photos of his car so I did a quick mini-shoot of his ride since we had taken the time to make the trip to Downtown LA.
Ryan loves Mazda’s plain and simple. I asked him why he loves them so much and he said: “After the FD there was just no turning back. I learned of the great history that Mazda has in racing and classic cars and was instantly hooked. Rotary engines are just so different from anything else. you really gotta learn to respect and meticulously care for them. They can be very strong but at the same time fragile in a sense.”
This FC build clearly shows Ryan’s passion for building Mazdas. He completed this build start to finish in about a year and touched every part of the car including boosting it, custom paint and exterior, suspension, wheels, engine bay, interior, etc. etc (see his crazy long mod list below). This FC is supa clean, very powerful and is the type of build that we applaud here at Canibeat. Once this FC project was completed earlier this year Ryan began driving it daily, seriously how dope is that?!
