Octavia Green E Line’s production started by Skoda
While the entire automobile industry is gung ho about going green, then why should Skoda Auto be left behind? The manufacturer who enthralled us with their new logo and subsequent concept cars is now planning to rope in the green brigade and in this earnest, have started the production of an electric car. This new electric car is called as the Octavia Green E Line. This is taken as the next level for the manufacturer.
The current Octavia Estate forms the basis for this new electric car. A motor which is rated for 114 Hp and which is ably supported by a Li-ion battery putting out 26.5 kWh of power propels this E Line car from 0-60 mph in 12 seconds, the 199 Lb of torque aiding it in the process. Though there is nothing commendable in the 87 miles range that this car projects, it nonetheless is a step in the right direction by the Czech manufacturer. Top speed of this estate is estimated to be around the 85 mph mark. Around this fall, this car would be presented to select audience and their feedback on the vehicle’s performance would be noted down and duly taken heed into by Skoda engineers.
