Doking XD electric car
LOS ANGELES, California – I happened to stumble upon a curious sight at the recent L.A. auto show – a car so small, it was unloaded by forklift truck. What I could see of its rotund backside is that it sported X-shaped taillights, looking disconcertingly like the eyes of deceased cartoon characters.

DOK-ING XD Croatian EV revealed at Los Angeles
A Croatian special vehicle maker called DOK-ING has unveiled the XD prototype at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. The name might not sound all that sporting but the company claims the little runabout can achieve 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds.

Over 50 Debuts Promised – 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show Preview
This year’s LA Auto Show, which opens its doors to the public on Nov 18, looks set to be one of the best shows in years with more than 50 new vehicle debuts. While many of these have already been seen at shows overseas or already announced by manufacturers there are at least a dozen that have yet to be announced. Hopefully the manufacturers of those cars will keep the identities secret until the media day on Nov 16 – it’s always nice to have last minute surprises.
