So long, Shelby: Carroll Shelby 1923–2012
The automotive world’s most renowned failed chicken farmer, Carroll Shelby, died Thursday, May ten at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, 110 miles due west from tiny Leesburg, Texas, where he was born on January eleven, 1923. Shelby, 89, had been sick for eight months, and the trigger of death was listed as pneumonia.
