It will be 2014 just before Australia sees the compact ‘BLK’ and mid-sized GLK SUVs, so for now the larger Mercedes-Benz ML is the most affordable entry into a 4WD from the world’s oldest car producer.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has used the lack of more compact SUVs for this neck of the woods – the GLK has been available for years in left-hand-drive markets – as a bargaining device with Daimler HQ in Stuttgart to be even a lot more aggressive with the new ML’s pricing.
