Lamborghini Aventador turned police car in Dubai
Of course, the main purpose of this car is to deter anyone considering breaking the speed limit. However, it will also be used in popular tourist areas to help promote Dubai, apparently.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 has received no engine modifications for police duty, but the cockpit is now fitted with an advanced video monitoring system, a GPS data logger, radar guns, and other police equipment.
It becomes the fastest police car in the Persian Gulf area, surpassing the Nissan GT-R enlisted in the Abu Dhabi Police fleet.

Render: Lamborghini Urus Concept on ADV.1 Wheels

Despite the fact that Lamborghini has yet to decide whether or not the Urus SUV Concept will ever hit production, LamboCARS recently put together the following rendering of the car riding on five-spoke matte black ADV.1 wheels.
Only one Lamborghini Urus Concept has been revealed publically thus far, with it being finished in the same shade of pearl red as the Aventador J, but the following rendering managed to turn that bright color into a much stealthier shade of matte black, with the highly-tinted windshield and side windows helping to top off what can only be descried as one of the most-menacing SUV’s we’ve ever seen, whether it be in real life or simply a rendering!

Car Crash: Toyota Prius Driver Smashes into Lamborghini Aventador in China

Another Lamborghini Aventador accident happened in China recently. It seems that this orange example was involved in an accident with two other cars, one being a Toyota Prius. The accident left the Aventador with a completely mangled rear right fender.
It seems that the Toyota Prius driver smashed into the rear end of the Aventador. The exact circumstances surrounding the accident are not clear as the pictures were posted without a description.
One thing that is clear just from looking at the pictures is the extent of the damage. It looks as though the impact was particularly heavy. Oil was left at the scene of the accident and the entire read end looks very distorted. Chances are that the repairs will be very expensive.
We’re not sure if either driver sustained any injuries in the accident although we suspect there wasn’t. This isn’t the first Lamborghini Aventador accident we’ve reported on this year. We’ve already seen a white example with some light front end damage, a matte black example stuck in a gravel trap and a black example with light damage in Florida.

The U.S. may host two major automotive shows each year, in Detroit and New York, but what is undoubtedly the entertainment capital not only of the country, but of the whole world, is surely a good place to stage another one.
Organizers of this year’s event, which opens its doors on November 28 for the press and two days later for the public, have announced that the 2012 LA Auto Show will offer its visitors no less than 24 world and another 25 North American premieres.
With just a few days remaining, some carmakers continue to keep the cars they will debut in Los Angeles under wraps, while others, such as Subaru with its Forester, Kia with the new Forte sedan and Volkswagen with the Beetle Convertible have already come out in the open.
No matter; Carscoop’s comprehensive A-Z Guide of the 2012 show is up and running and we’re constantly on the lookout for anything that will pop up over the next few days.
All you have to do is scroll down to see the list of this year’s show and stay tuned for our updates.

Dealer Visit: Lamborghini Vienna
Europe, Factory Visit, Lamborghini — By Jakub on October 22, 2012 at 9:37 am — No Comments

Over the past weeks we visited the Lamborghini showroom in Vienna. The dealership is located on the outskirts of the Austrian capital. In addition to a display of Lamborghini supercars we came across several Bentley and Buggati models. In the parking lot another series of super-, customer and demonstration cars were spotted, like numerous Aventadors and a Bentley Mulsanne.
Inside the dealerhsip, a Bianco Monocerus Gallardo LP560-4 and Monocerus Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera were placed next to a Black LP570-4 Spyder and a Rosso Mars LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale.
A special area was reserved for a Bentley Continental GTC V8 and a special edition Bentley Supersports Continental Convertible ISR.

September 2012 Sales: What the Headlines Don’t Tell You

It’s not the crime of the century, but the arrest of a California man on suspicion that he stole $ 4500 worth of gas from a Shell station last month is a peculiar affair. Gas in the Golden state is nearly five bucks per gallon, but this theft of 1100 gallons gives one wonder if there’s a black market where bashful Escalade drivers ask around for “the good stuff”—93 octane. High fuel prices across the U.S. are just one of several reasons the new car market should be lagging. Automotive incentive spending actually went down in September, too. Yet, here we are: September sales were up 13 percent versus last year. It’s the automotive credit market that’s driving growth. Interest rates are down, and banks are lending to people with lower credit than they would have a few years ago. Below, we explore the strength of the mid-size family-car market, check in with younger shoppers, track the new segment of compact premium cars, and finish with a look at the astonishing success of exotic supercars.
