Carscoop just lately posted a gallery of the upcoming Porsche 911 (991) Turbo cold climate testing somewhere in Europe. It shouldn’t be too extended ahead of we get to see the production 911 Turbo, probably towards the end of the year as a 2013 model.
Count on Porsche to retain the three.eight-liter flat-6 with variable turbine geometry turbochargers giving 520hp. Our source suggests the 911 Turbo will use a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and Porsche’s new seven-speed manual gearbox. Count on a weight loss more than the 997 Turbo as well, as effectively as the new Porsche commence-end method.
Type-smart, the photos show a wider car with a a lot more rounded appearance. The front bumper gets a facelift with the new 991 headlights and a set of daytime running lights. The iconic turbo air intakes seem to be much more rounded than the outgoing model. A thing Porsche desires to hide with 997 type stickers. At the back there’s a pop-up twin-deck spoiler. We’re not certain if this is a thing that will be carried via to the production model or if this is just camouflage.
