Bugatti Veyron vs Speed Bump
Bugatti, India — By Chris on December 23, 2011 at 12:01 am — No Comments

India is an emerging market place for makers of supercars, which includes Bugatti. The organization plans to promote three-4 Veyrons each year in India despite the astronomical price tag.
The Bugatti Veyron is the most high-priced vehicle for sale in India. Due to high import tax of 110% the retail price of a Veyron is 136 million Indian rupee, which equals about € two million or $ two.6 million. The Veyron Grand Sport is for sale for Rs. 160 million (€ two.three million or $ 3 million) and the most effective edition, the Veyron Super Sport, is priced a whopping Rs. 192 million (€ two.80 million or $ three.6 million).
Bugatti is on an Indian tour, offering the fortunate couple of an chance to experience the opulent luxury and performance of the 1001 horsepower Veyron. One of the cities the cities wherever people have been in a position to take the Veyron Grand Sport for a test drive was Hyderabad.
Not only the Indian import tax proved to be a barrier to overcome as this undoubtedly nervous driver of the French supercar struggled to conquer the largest hurdle of all, the speed bump!
BMW And General Motors Partnering For Fuel Cell Technology

According to Reuters, General Motors and BMW are jumping into bed over fuel cells. GM is already established as a leader in the technology, though they are staying tight-lipped about the partnership according to Autoblog.
BMW told the site that they are ”speaking about various future technologies.” Additionally, German business magazine, Wirtschafts Woche says according to an inside source that talks are already very far along.
The partnership isn’t surprising considering car companies will need to achieve 35.5 miles-per-gallon by 2016 in the U.S. and 54.5 mpg for cars and light trucks by 2025.
This isn’t the first move BMW made with other companies to advance their green tech. Earlier this month we reported that the German automaker announced a partnership with Toyota to work on green projects.

Delavilla Porsche Cayman R1

What we have here is more than just a tuning job as Delavilla has basically facelifted the Porsche Cayman.
They definitely didn’t like the look of the car but couldn’t say no to its amazing driving experience. With the new body panels you have to look at the car for a few moments to realize that it’s a Cayman.
The R1 is much wider than the standard car thanks to the new sills, fenders, and the bumpers. The bumpers also have a very nice and sporty design both front and rear. Especially at the back the combination of the new apron with the diffuser and the new exhausts create a cool sight.
The visual treatment is good. But it seems the tuner have got carried over and is offering some extra garnish such as Lambo doors and fingerprint recognition. Come on!
They also have a power upgrade program for the engine with three stages, 340, 380, and 420 PS.
Overkill: Music Video Launches Mosler Raptor GTR
Overkill, Supercar News — By Lawrence on November 18, 2011 at 11:06 pm — No Comments

As far as new car releases go, this is the cheesiest we’ve ever seen. Which is why we assigned this article to the overkill category. Mosler, or more specifically, Mosler-importer Supercar Engineering Inc have released the Raptor GTR via a music video featuring a singer named Abby Cubey.
The video itself has attracted a lot of attention recently. Perhaps we should leave you to check it out and leave us your opinion on it. Instead, we’ll get on with introducing the car. It’s a modified 2012 Mosler MT900, fettled by ex-Mosler engineer J. Todd Wagner. It features the same 7.0-liter V8 as the standard MT900. However, this car has been fitted with twin-turbochargers, boosting power to 838hp.
In a car that weighs just 1173kg, that means a 0-100km/h time of just 2.3 second. Faster than a Bugatti Veyron. Whether these claims are true or not, the figures look mighty impressive. Carbon fibre has been applied liberally.
The cost, $ 700,000 or 517,000 euros at today’s exchange rate. 15% of the purchase price will be donated to charity. For an extra $ 70,000 the vehicle can be upgraded to 1212hp. For this you also get a name change, your Raptor GTR then becomes your Cubey GTR. This upgrade package will be limited to 12 cars though, so you better act quickly…

2013 Ford Mustang Teased

These days Facebook is the number one destination for car makers when they want to announce, reveal or tease something. The social media site just spilled the beans on the new Mustang.
Ford is apparently revealing a part of the car with every 5000 shares. That’s stupid, but there’s been enough shares for us to have these four images, showing part of the front grille, head and taillights, and the instrument cluster.
The new Mustang seems to look, well, conceptual in many ways. The connections to the original Mustangs however, seem to be weakening. The new design of the lights are quite fancy and have almost nothing to do with the traditional cues. That’s both good and bad, but let’s wait and see the thing in its full glory and then judge it.
The 2013 Ford Mustang will be revealed at the L.A Autoshow (or was it Detroit?!).

Drug Lord’s Ferrari Becomes a Police Car
Car News, Ferrari — By Chris on November 12, 2011 at 11:34 pm — No Comments

The Columbian police has proudly unveiled their latest police car: a Ferrari 348 TS that no one wanted to buy. Or better said, a car that no one dared to buy.
The 1991 Ferrari 348 TS was owned by drugs lord Luis Hernando Gómez Bustamante. In 2004, Colombian police conducted raids against Gómez Bustamante, stripping him of 68 farms, 24 offices and 17 parking lots as well as other items and properties, a total worth listed at over 100 million. Among the seized assets was his Ferrari. Bustamante was transported for extradition to the United States on charges of money laundering, drug smuggling and much more in 2007.
His Ferrari 348 TS was seized by Colombia’s National Drug Office (DNE), which was responsible for disposing of seized assets. This department has offered the Ferrari for sale, but in September the DNE was shut down because many seized assets mysteriously disappeared without explanation.
The 300hp (224 kW) V8 powered Ferrari has only driven 1,200 miles (1,900km) and was valued at US $ 250,000 by Colombian authorities, a far cry from the car’s current market value. But the DNE failed to sell the Ferrari and not only because of the price tag.
