The new engine is set to be the first in a household of new engines that will be released over the following three many years, all promising to offer you optimum fuel efficiency as properly as excellent functionality.

Also set to make its debut at Geneva is the European CR-V Prototype. The styling of the European CR-V – tweaked from the US edition – ought to be much more representative of the compact SUV that goes on sale in Australia later this year.

Limited details have been announced, though Honda says it will feature aggressive new styling, with deeper contours and bumpers that blend SUV abilities with smooth aerodynamic design. The production edition will go on sale in Europe in the course of the third quarter of this 12 months.

Honda’s Japanese YouTube channel released a new teaser video for the upcoming NSX supercar, and it is titled “2012 NSX”. So it is most likely only the Acura edition that’s going to take until finally 1025 to arrive, and we might get to see the new Honda NSX on the road a lot sooner than that. Honda took its sweet time creating this car, but it was effectively really worth it, because the new generation NSX is astonishing. You are not able to fault this vehicle, as it seems amazing, goes like stink, and simply because it is a hybrid it’s clean and efficient. If they price tag it like a Honda, then it will be the finest vehicle in the globe!

View the video after the jump. the first 5 minutes is about the outdated NSX and a bit dull, but bear with it.

The incoming Honda Civic sedan and Hyundai Veloster have been awarded the optimum five-star rating beneath the Australasian New Vehicle Assessment Program’s (ANCAP) upgraded security ratings system.

The ninth-generation Honda Civic was rated ‘good’ for pedestrian protection – the highest attainable rating below the new criteria, which has been added to the overall ratings for 2012. It earned a pedestrian protection score of 27.54 points out of 36, and an all round occupant protection score of 34.91 out of 37.

The Hyundai Veloster three-door sports activities coupe attained an ‘acceptable’ rating for pedestrian protection – the second-highest rating – with a score of 17.74 out of 36. The Veloster carried out especially nicely in the occupant protection place, scoring 35.47 out of 37.

Electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags (dual front, side and curtains), ABS, EBD and brake help are common in the two automobiles. The Veloster gets front seatbelt reminders, even though the Civic gets reminders for both front and rear occupants.

ANCAP Chair Lauchlan McIntosh praised Honda on reaching the highest pedestrian protection rating.

“Pedestrian protection is an area that has not been properly addressed amongst the existing fleet so Honda has thrown out a challenge to other car suppliers,” he explained.

The Hyundai Veloster is now on sale in Australia whilst the Honda Civic sedan is due in neighborhood showrooms following month.

So there is an fascinating new teaser out that capabilities Matthew Broderick and some have speculated that it could be for a new sequel to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Nonetheless, according to an exclusive on Jalopnik, the teaser is really for Honda.

Apparently, sources at Honda informed Jalopnik that the teaser is for Honda’s Super Bowl ad spot. And contemplating that the annual contest is just all around the corner with firms like Audi and Lexus out with teasers previously, it can make sense to securely presume that.

Examine out the teaser soon after the jump.
