     Fiat India has launched a more powerful Grande Punto powered by a powerful 1.3L multijet diesel engine producing 90 bhp as compared to 75 bhp by the regular diesel version

     The engine uses variable geometry turbo, which makes the engine to breathe easier and produce more power. It will be available in only Emotion trim and will be sold along side 75 bhp variant.

     The car is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) and will compete with Hyundai i20 in terms of both power and price. The customers have various accessory packages to choose from which include rear spoiler, chrome exhaust, body decals, aluminum pedals and leather seat covers.

     Maruti is contemplating to launch an automatic variant of its small car A-Star. Since its launch A-Star could not sell in large numbers as Maruti would have expected. An automatic variant would sell the cars in large numbers aiming people who want hassle free driving in city traffic.

     Currently in India only Hyundai i10 and i20 is being offered in Automatic Transmission in small car segment. i10 Automatic costs over Rs 5 lakh for the base variant where as i20 Automatic is priced over reach at Rs 8.5 lakh. A-Star Automatic priced just below Rs 5 lakh can definitely snatch the market from the Hyundai.

     India’s leading automotive discussion forum Team-Bhp.com has spied the diesel Toyota Corolla Altis being tested near Bangalore. The car as you can see from the picture has a different grill with chrome insertions. The honey comb grill with chrome bordering gives the car a premium look.

     Corolla Altis diesel was spied testing along with Chevrolet Cruze. So it is evident that Corolla Altis Diesel will be pitted against Chevrolet Cruze Diesel. But what we did not understand is, how can a 1.4L Diesel power train from Toyota match the 2 L one from Chevrolet? Well…. Toyota will answer this questing on 21st of this month when it will be launching the Corolla Altis Diesel officially.
